"I've been living in Colorado since 2002 after growing up in the great state of North Dakota. Life back in North Dakota was pretty good, minus the typical small town stuff. Someday I could see myself back there, but right now you can't ask for anything better then weekends of skiing in the mountains followed by golf weather down in the city! Denver has the ultimate climate for me!
This past year Mary and I got engaged so we are doing a lot of wedding planning. She's currently in law school 1000 miles away which makes seeing her on a regular basis hard to do. Our wedding is going to be Friday, December 29 in Pierre, SD.
Now that I'm in Colorado my life continues to be focused around sports. I've been with the Colorado Golf Assocition since 2002 when I was hired as the Assistant Director of Rules and Competitions. In 2004 I was promoted into my dream job and now serve as the Director of Youth Programs. My years consist of running junior golf events that include major junior state championships along with the high school state championships. I also spend a lot of time overseeing programs for the Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters along with other developmental programs for less fortunate youth.
In 2003 I began coaching Track and Field at Mountain Vista High School. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. Last year I had an athlete take home state runner-up honors in the discus and finished 5th in the nation at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics.
When I'm away from work I ski as much as possible and play a ton of softball. I'm in my third season playing for Team Rival a USSSA "D-Super" team. We will be heading to the national softball tournament in September for the third consecutive year.
