My name is Ricardo Lance Calonge Jr. City born but raised from everywhere. Lived in Frisco, Daly City, San Pablo, Los Gatos, Seattle, Pinole, Hercules, Vegas, Rodeo man you name it. Parents are Ricardo Calonge and Bless Manuel. Got two siblings, Christian (23) and Joi (20). I like all kinds of music, basketball, video games, bowling, and just kickin wit da fellaz. I'm into Church and Family the most.
I fell in love with hip hop when I was 15. I was just fooling around writing different verses in my room but when I moved to Vegas, I met some folks from Philly and New Juru that taught me some different aspects when it comes to writing. They introduced me to different artists to listen to and took my writing skills to another level. We formed a group called "The 4 Horsemen" and battled people left and right, wrote tracks and freestyled all the time. I'll never forget that period of time...
When I moved back to the bay, I started writing more on my own. I recorded my own tracks and evaluated myself for a few years. After all these different things started happening to me slowing me down, I decided taking the music career into consideration. With the support of my family and close friends, I plan on taking that path.
I got the name "Cyrano" from the book "Cyrano De Bergerac." It's about this guy who's the greatest swordsman in his time but also an undercover poet in love with the princess. The one thing about him was he had a long nose (haha!). So instead, his friend fell for the princess but only swayed her by giving her the poems that Cyrano wrote for her. He wrote his heart out through those poems and it was his words that the princess fell in love with. It's a great story.
