About Me

<object type="application/x-HOW I BECAME A TRAINER:I was born and raised in good old Pasadena, Ca. I was born into the horse world where I first started my career as a show rider with hopes to go to the Olympics in Athens in 2004 before a nail ended my dreams. I was setting up a tack room and got a puncture wound in my left forearm that grew into a nasty infection which devastated me because my dreams that had taken so long to almost come true were halted way too fast. But things always happen for a reason! I soon began training racehorses which I have been very fortunate to work with some very good people and horses that have made me who I am today. In only my second year of training and at the age of 21 I was the youngest person ever and only the 11th female to start a horse in the Kentucky Derby. I had a wonderful horse with a huge heart that gave me everything he had to run 3rd which may have been a bigger thrill than going to the Olympics. I am very fortunate to be able to live a great life doing something that I truly enjoy doing. I wake up bright and early every morning looking forward to going to work which not many people can say! Its a sport that gives you the highest highs but unfortunately the lowest lows as well however when the end result in walking into the winners circle whether it be a grade 1 or a 10K claimer its worth every minute of it!A LITTLE ABOUT MY LIFE BEHIND THE SCENES:I am a strong believer in health and fitness although I have a horrible diet!! I love to be challenged and will push myself to the point where someone will have to say that's enough or I may croke! I also love to travel. I have been just about everywhere except for Australia which is somewhere I have always wanted to go. A few places I have been to are: France, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Spain, Canada, Saudi Arabia (not a place for girls!), Dubai, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and all over the U.S. Exploring new places is my favorite thing to do!I live on a little over an acre here in Southern Ca. where I can keep some of my favorite horses! I have a couple retirees here including Bluesthestandard, two stallions that I breed for fun and a couple mares and babies.
