Choe:T heralding from Burma he started learning to play guitar at the tender age of 6. By the time he was 16 he had already become a professional session player in the studios of Rangoon, Burma.
Choe:T left Burma in 1987 to continue his work in Thailand and Japan, leaving behind an impressive body of work including arrangements and performances for almost 300 albums!
In Bangkok he continued to score, arrange and perform for big names such as singer Pu Samming and well established groups such as Inca and Cross Roads, lending his craft to become one of Bangkok’s most in demand guitarist of that time. He then moved on to Australia. During his first staying he moved back and forth to Bangkok and Tokyo to continue his work as a soloist. It was during this period of time when Choe:T was a finalist in the 2003 Finger Picking Contest in Yokohama, Japan.
Encouraged by the Burmese community to perform as a soloist in Australia and following his encounter with Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel, his work took a whole new direction, performing extensively as an acoustic soloist in Sydney, leaving audiences in awe of his technique and versatility as a guitarist.
