Side projects of the weird and wonderous

About Me

Hey, my name’s Daish and welcome to my musical side projects page! I’m 19 years old, dominantly a classical musician, specializing in the Oboe and Singing (tenor) and undertaking a musical degree at the University of Surrey, in Guildford, UK. I have always turned to the world of rock and in particular virtuoso instrumental music as a ‘retreat’ from the everyday classical style I’m pretty much immersed in! main guitar influences include, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Greg Howe, Jason Becker, Mattias IA Eklundh, John Petrucci etc. Investing in a lifetime membership at his online conservatory, last year, I can safely say my main keyboarding influence is Jordan Rudess! I also take a lot of inspiration from the classical piano wizard, Lang Lang. Everything you hear on this humble little profile was recorded using tight budget entry level equipment in my bedroom! As a musician, sadly it seems I’m almost always struck for cash… Recording is an area which is still relatively new to me, I only started this side projects page a year ago and have already learnt so much and keep enthusiastically learning and find every second fascinating… if fortune allows, I would love to enter the recording industry at some point in my professional musical career. Ok, Hope you like the profile and for those who are regulars, hope you like the long awaited updates!
