I enjoy listening to great music. I embrace many musical styles--past and present--but "Angel" by Aerosmith is still the best slow dance song ever! (IMhO.)
I also love hats (I have a hat on my head most of the time)--watching movies, surfing the internet, jeans 'n' sweats ‘n’ hoodies, classic novels (esp. Jane Austen, Brontë sisters), vintage Edwardian fashions, Gothic Lolita, just about anything that's a vintage floral pattern, plaid, toile, or paisley, sketching and clothing design, singing, and watching my daughter continue to grow into an amazing person.
I love 19th and early 20th century architecture. New houses are nice, but I'd prefer an old house with charm and a history to a new one any day. I used to have a house with my former husband in Charleston, but am now back in school and on a tighter budget. I rent an upstairs studio apt. in a 1910 Queen Anne, and my daughter is my "college roommate" :) until I complete my studies and get better established here in the great Pacific Northwest. Our landlady/housemate who owns the house is a classical musician and piano instructor, so the house is always filled with music...I love that.
