About Me

"Life is all memory, except for the present moment that goes by so quick you hardly catch it going." -Tennessee Williams
First and foremost, I am a VERY political person. To say that my ideology is Liberal would be an understatement...I am so far to the left that I cannot see the middle. I love President Obama, and contributed many hours working on his campaign. It is extremely refreshing to finally have an articulate and intelligent leader back in the White House, after the 8 excruciatingly long years of the Cheney...I mean Bush Administration. I am extremely talkative and ask way too many random questions. I am a coffee snob, and very proud of it! There are few people who can free pour a dry cappuccino as perfectly as I can...there is an art to it, and I have it mastered. I am a certified Starbucks Coffee Master...basically, I am a coffee ninja!
Upon earning my MD* I will eventually receive the Nobel Prize in medicine which will bring me one step closer to my ultimate goal of world domination...until then I will continue slinging lattes and hustling cappuccinos for Starbucks. (*Subject to change)
Some advice from me to you...If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let 'em go, because, man, they are gone!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

You only live once, but if you work it right once is enough. -Joe E. Lewis

There are so many people that I would like to meet... some famous, others not so much, and a few are even fictitious...Gizmo, Ewoks, gnomes, and a fraggle or two. Honestly, though, I have been quite fortunate having already had the pleasure of meeting some truly fabulous people...I have some of the greatest friends in the world. Andy Lord from the papercranes has me quite in awe... he's cute, attention stealing, hilarious, and the future savior of mankind too...what more could you ask for...total package! Several people with whom I would love to have a conversation are: Sebastian Junger, Bill Maher, Christiane Amanpour, Chris Matthews, Cory Booker, James Carville, Keith Olberman, Nancy Pelosi, Maya Angelou, and Lewis Black.

Last spring, I met and shook the hand of the new US President, Barack Obama...a definite high point!!

I would also like to meet (big surprise) Howard Schultz...it would be amazing to sit and drink a cup of Aged Sumatra with him, and in no way is that lame! (Shut up, JJ...ha ha)

I absolutely refuse to associate with anyone who is antisemitic, racist, or sexist! I also try to avoid having to associate with very many people who call themselves that dreadful "R" word... Republican. I have 0% tolerance for ignorance, hatred, and the ultra right-wing base of the GOP!

"Once when I was in Hawaii, on the island of Kauai, I met a mysterious old stranger. He said he was about to die and wanted to tell someone about the treasure. I said, "Okay, as long as it's not a long story. Some of us have a plane to catch, you know." He stared telling his story, about the treasure and his life and all, and I thought: "This story isn't too long." But then, he kept going, and I started thinking, "Uh-oh, this story is getting long." But then the story was over, and I said to myself: "You know, that story wasn't too long after all." I forget what the story was about, but there was a good movie on the plane. It was a little long, though." -Jack Handey
"To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad." -Jack Handey
