I watch some TV. Yes, and reality shows too. There's a 'judge' in all of us,which is why these shows are so popular.
Books:
Being a therapist and an art therapist makes me sort of a sucker for self-help and psychology books. Currently my favorite author is Doreen Virtue.
Heroes:
My heroes are people who have an extraordinary capacity to connect to others, a capacity to be a role model just by being who they are and facilitate change. People like Oprah, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Ataturk, etc.... People who have gone beyond their own little subjective world. People who became aware of things that are more than just eating, sleeping, fucking and spending money. Sometimes they are little heroes in our daily lives. And we know it when we meet a special person like that. This is one of my aspirations in life: being a source of light for people and myself. Sort of like letting the goodness of the world to come through me, without trying to own it or trying to turn it into gold. I might always be an apprentice in life, always practicing and moving forward in baby steps. Maybe that's not so bad. ;-)
