If you hear boxing fans talking about Superman, they aren't referring to Clark Kent's alter ego or the recent blockbuster movie. Mild mannered and soft spoken, Derrick 'Superman' Findley has what it takes to become a figure on the national and international boxing scene. Coming from the roughest part of Chicago to the roughest part of Gary, Superman found a home with John Taylor's Gary Police Athletic League. After four years of amateur fighting that saw him represent America on teams that fought around the world, Findley made his professional debut in a middleweight bout at Caesar's Casino in downstate Indiana. Findley won by a technical knock out. A man of few but perfectly chosen words, Superman is entering the raucous world of national boxing on the west coast with a fight against an undefeated Olympic champion.
