Psi-fi Records

About Me

Psi-fi records, established in July 2000, is a collaberation between Chris Neehause and John Keating. As a co-founder of Airlock Studios, Chris and John were inspired by a demo session with a little known act, Polyvinyl. "These guys wrote such good songs but by the time they could afford to go into a studio again, the moment would probably have been lost". The rest is history. We started producing and releasing records for Polyvinyl, Love Lies Bleeding, Moonjuice and Bolus.Mentoring and helping to create career paths for talented young engineers/producers is also high on the list of self-expectation and so we forge ahead knowing that helping beautiful people with a love of music production is incredibly important. With Gems such as producers Peter Gardner and Sam Grace under our wing, our altruistic but practical ethos ensures Psi-fi keeps the love alive. It is absolutely a pleasure to be part of capturing some amazing music for the artists like The Go-betweens, Love Lies Bleeding, Polyvinyl, Moonjuice, Bolus, Kissing the Blue Lady, Mr Laneous and the Family Ya Ya, Sean Sennett, Shutterspeed, Palladium, and The Optimen. Beyond the bands and careers are the people, you know who you are.Beyond the studio, Chris' Favourite moments have been working with The Church, The Go-betweens, Russell Crowe, Paul Capsis and Jeff Lovejoy...
