About Me

Ayiik Aleer aka DBoy the Sudanese King was born in South Sudan in the Town of Bor, Duk on May 15, 1988. DBoy has three brothers and three sisters, but one of his sisters died in Bor, Duk in 1986 before he was born. In 1989 soldiers attacked Bor, Duk when DBoy was one year old, and he didn’t know anything about that time. Two of his sisters wanted to hold him, and they were young at that time, but they want to save their younger brother, and then DBoy’s family ran to the town of Equatoria, Amea. In 1993 soldiers attacked Amea when he was five years old. Again DBoy’s family ran to Loboni, but at that time he was walking, so he and his family stayed in Loboni for two years. Again North Sudan soldiers attacked Loboni South Sudan when he was 7 years old, so DBoy, two sisters, one brother and mom decided to go to Ethiopia, but his dad disagreed with them, so DBoy, two sisters, one brother and mom left his dad in Loboni in 1995. They walked to Ethiopia by foot, but it took them two years to get to Ethiopia, so his family arrived in Ethiopia, Panyudu Refugee camp on April 17, 1997. At the same time DBoy joined the soccer team and church. He loved to sing for kids, church and his trip dance, so in 1998 he decided to become a musician. He told his family he wanted to be a musician, but at that time he didn’t know anything about rap music. On November 15, 2002 some refugees fought in village 12, but some of the refugees had guns and shot Dinka people, so the Dinka people ran to Nuer villages and lived with the Nuer people. In 2005 DBoy, his niece, nephew, and mom got forms to come to the United States. On July 29, 2005 they went to get medical checks, and then they lived in Ethiopia. On December 8, 2005 they came to the United States, so they arrived in the United States on December 9, 2005 in Erie, Pennsylvania. DBoy began to make music, but he didn’t get a DJ to make beats for him and at that time he didn’t know how to speak English and Rap, but he knows how to sing. DBoy moved to Des Moines, Iowa on July 15, 2006 and went to school in September. In early 2008 he started Rap by Rapping his first name up to his great-grandfather’s name, so he started recording in April 2008.

Band Members: DBoy the Sudanese King is one of the Sudanese artists that raps and sings in too many different languages as Emanuel Jal and Hot Dogg. In, June 2008 DBoy went to Atlanta, Georgia. After a couple days Manyok Maruon and Leek came from North Carlina DBoy met them at the parking lot. DBoy, Manyok Maruon and Leek were taking their time in the parking lot talking about personal interests. DBoy told them that he has his own songs, so Manyok and Leek were surprised and they asked him,” Do you have your songs with you now?” DBoy said, ‘I have one of my songs that I just recorded two days ago with me, “so they told him, “let’s go listen in the car, so they went in the car and played the song, and it was the first song that DBoy recorded in English Language. Then they asked him, “How long have you been in the U.S? “ He said, “I’ve been here for two years. “ Leek said I can’t believe it, “and so did Manyok. So they called some of the Sudanese and they put his song on again, but the people thought the song belonged to some African American Rapper, but the last 16 verse he recorded in Dinka Language, so when they heard the last part, they started asking, “What is the name of the person that made this song? Manyok and Leek said DBoy, so they said they never heard of Sudanese Rapper except Emanuel Jal. DBoy said, “Do you have his songs with you? “ The guys said “yeah, we have it here, “So DBoy said, “Play his songs I wanna listen to them. “ Leek put the cd on, and DBoy started listening to them, so when he done listening, he said, “these songs make me think about the life I’ve been through and they very interesting too. In a couple of days DBoy met Hot Dogg on myspace, and he statrted listening to his songs. Hot Dogg talked about the same things as Emanuel Jal, so DBoy said to himself, “ If these young people talk about what they’ve been through, Why can’t I do the same? “ so one of his relative Awuol Deng Awuol wrote the song. The song title is “Stand Up” DBoy most of the time gets ideas from olders people and so is the young people when they are talking.
Influences: I like all the musicians, but I will go with Emanuel Jal one of the world best rapper, but not because he's the world best rapper he also change people lifes beside that I pick Gorden Koang I just dont know how he been writting his songs when he can't see and he also talk about Sudan so Sudanese people can come togather.
Sounds Like: It sound like I know what to say, but I don't know what to start with. Anyway for the young man like me dream comes true I really appreciated. First I thank god for letting my dream come like the way I want it, second I thank my mama for holding me since I was born and protect me from dangerous things, third I thank American for giving me form to come to their country which is U.S.A. fourth I thank my families for supporting me on my career and who are my families is you.
