In Las Vegas, Nevada, Saturday, March 29th, 2008 Roanna (Rose) Jovero and her companion, Tony Wright, were maliciously gunned down by her estranged husband as she arrived to work that morning. Her companion died on the scene while she suffers two gunshot wounds to the head leaving her with life threatening injuries. She remains in a coma (scale 3) on life support. She has 4 children; ages 4, 5, 13 & 14.Her mother, brother, and children are at her bedside and as you can imagine, this is an overwhelming time for them.Due to Ro’s condition, uncertainty remains as to how long the family will have to stay in Las Vegas. Ro’s mother owns a business that will obviously have to close while they are away. Ro’s brother, Romuald, with his brand new family, is now taking care of Ro’s kids’. The challenges that lay ahead require their immediate focus.In due time, I’m sure they will have exhausted a substantial portion of their financial means not only to accommodate their stay but to also to ensure Ro’s outstanding commitments, to cover legal fees and most importantly to provide for the children of Roanna whom are ultimately suffering.Helping out an old friend and her family in time of need is always a great gesture of love, friendship and support. Roanna is a friend, a classmate, a sister, a co-worker and most importantly, a mother that is known and loved by many. Those of you that know her know how big her heart is and how she continuously and unselfishly shared with those in need.
