I edited my profile at ProfilePimp.comFor a brief period in the 1980s, Norwegian psychobillies The Flintstones mesmerized audiences in their homeland. Their uniqueness lay in a fine blend of showmanship, aggression and quality tunes. To this day few Norwegian bands have been able to match the intensity of their live performances. These cats famously turned down a request from the late Johnny Thunders to back him on a European tour in 1987. "We said no due to the fact that The New York Dolls suck", they later commented, signalling an attitude that would assure them a place in the footnotes of rock n..roll history and nothing more. To the on-looker they seemed hellbent on sabotaging their own success, choosing to perform in lowkey and unprestigious venues in the suburbs when they could have capitalised on the buzz that was growing in the media and the music industry. In 1988, after they split up, a recording of one of their shows was broadcasted on Polish national TV.
