Land Camera is a dynamic Alt-folk-experimental group founded by producer/songwriter Charles Allison. Charles has produced 6 records independently under the names Kil Howlie Day and Charles Allison . His last record was a joint effort with Asheville NC's Black Eyed Dog and was mixed by legendary producer/engineer Mitch Easter .
When Land Camera officially formed in March of 2008, Charles and innovative guitarist Callie Harmon had been playing shows together for the previous year and developing a solid repertoire of songs. Former promotor for the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, John Lazenby and Hopsing Project keyboardist Colby Rogers joined the fold early in 2008, filling out the spectrum with aplomb.
Charles' work with various Chattanooga artists and productions over the last 10 years lead to his frequent work with veteran drummer, educator, film-producer, and all around righteous dude Bob Stagner . Bob is a Pearl Drums -endorsed drummer with a strong background in experimental and improvisational music. Bob's long career with such artists such as Shaking Ray Levis , Heroes are Horses , Roger Alan Wade , Blueground Undergrass and others creates the foundation on which Land Camera was formed.
Land Camera's focus is on making thoughtful and interesting music and are currently working on their first full-length album as a band, with Charles producing.
