Hi! My name is Gunnar. I was born in ReykjavÃk, Iceland on 4. of october 1984, wich makes me a libra.. and also 22 years old. Wierd. it seems like it was yesterday that I was 15 years old and getting my first guitar :p Yepp, time flies! Something about me; My life is pretty much based on music. I learned to play flute in first grade at grammar school and since then there's been no stopping me ;) When I was 8 years old I had a piano class. I didn't like the piano much as an instrument, but I loved making music, so I quit after a year of playing. All the time since then I had been dreaming to become a guitar player. Finally my mom got me a guitar for my 15th year birthday :D Soon after that I and my best friend made a band together. A year and two groups later me and my frined made the band "Down to Earth", finally we were making the music we had always wanted to. A fast, heavy and brutal MetalCore. Down to Earth got pretty known as a good concert act and became semi popular in the underground scene. One year later our good friend and guitarplayer of the band, Ingimar, quit the band. We decided to drop the name and our songs in his respect and start again from scratch. The new band was called Still Not Fallen . We were now making alot more complex, harder and faster music and were verry sussessfull. We took part in "the battle of the bands" in iceland, had some extremely fun time and got to the finals, much more than we ever thought we could do! In mid-year 2003 I quit the band becouse of some personal issues, but they kept on for another year. In 2004 I joined the band Love Taken Away for a short time, but didn't have enough interests or time to keep on going with them. I recently (march 2006) joined the band Fortuna as a vocalist. We've recently released our Demo CD and performed at Iceland Airwaves.
I've been building a studio for the last few years and have come up with a pretty nice production/semi-pro studio. I've been to a production school in iceland at "Studio Syrland", and have been experementing with sound engineering for about 5 years. I plan to move to UK or USA in a couple of years and study sound engineering full time at SAE. I WILL be the best :D
As you've probably noticed, music is "what I do". I will never get tired of going to concerts browsing my friends cd collections for some new suff. I see myself 80years old making circle pits with the old folks...
