Unyti is comprised of five spirit filled ladies who love the Lord and singing His praises. God blessed founder, LaToshia Williams with a vision. LaToshia a singer/song writer was presented with an opportunity to join the praise team at her church home Bethel Christian Center of Palm River, FL and was then asked to do a gospel project. LaToshia was tasked with putting together a group that could praise the power down and minister to audiences of all ages. She called on her sister and fellow praise team member Alexis Nelson, her sister-in-law Regenia Battle who is the praise dance ministry director at her church home Church of God of Prophecy Forrest Hills, Tampa, FL, and Connie Hines her long time friend whose deep rooted soulful voice would tie it all together. Ladismere Falbru was a God-send as she is the baby of the group and was ready to save souls one day at a time.Unyti is a contemporary Christian gospel group with an urban contemporary sound influenced by modern hip-hop coming from a Christian perspective. Unyti’s sound can be compared to that of Gospel’s own Mary Mary, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, R&B’s Destiny’s Child and En Vogue just to name a few. The way they combine their contemporary R&B, neo-soul sound with Christian-oriented lyrics is good for the soul. These ladies have been described as the female version of Israel and New Breed. Their live concerts will captivate you as they usher in a new era of Christian music. Unyti’s lyrics will touch the saved and the unsaved souls alike. These five ladies have started a legacy.
