NEON STREET is a dedicated trio of sixth-formers who have been writing original material since spring 2008 and have recently started playing gigs, quickly becoming loved for their electric stage-presence and animated performance. All three bring very different musical influences to their song-writing, resulting in a bluesy rock sound stemming out of artists from Bill Withers to Daft Punk.
JACK WIGHTMAN is a versatile frontman and songwriter. A proficient bassist, a gifted singer and, when required, an able keyboard player, Jack can be depended upon to deliver excellent performances both live and on record. His years of musical experience to his name are evident in both his ever-expanding song-writing skills and his playing ability.
Guitarist JOHN GREENWOOD JR. is, in his own words, ‘quite literally a guitar player’, as well as an accomplished jazz keyboardist and classy guy whose distinctive funky style gives his solos a memorably lyrical quality.
HARRY HAWKINS has ten years of drumming skill under his belt along with some pretty sick talents on mixed percussion; his skills on the guitar and keyboard also make him an invaluable songwriting asset to the band.
