~Annie ice @k@ F!nez~
For all who may not know me, my name is Ann Marie Grant. I was born on 8th May 1984.
I am a proud Taurian who is the eldest of four children.
I am a very unique individual who always had a passion for dancing. At a very young age I attended a ballet and tap dancing school situated in Highbury & Islington.
As a young star in the making I would perform dance routines to various members of the family. Participating in school fetes & concerts, birthday parties, carnival bands and open auditions. It wasn't until the age of 16, that I began dancing professionally in the bashment scene. It was then I started to use dance in a positive way to express my creativity and feelings.
It all began when I met a girl called haylee (who everyone claimed looked exactly like me). After long talks, meetings and socializing sessions it was from there we decided to become a duo causing a storm on the streets. Joining forces with two other friends Rass and Mario, we then formed a group called Atomic dancers. From there we began to visit various locations and well-known clubs, meeting some of the biggest names in the bashment industry. We became known for a dance called Frog-back (by meritol family) in which we performed this routine at Dalston lane, club 19, club EQ, Cameos, Occasions and Orleans nightspot.
I went solo in 2006 when haylee decided that she no longer wanted to dance.
I then started to take part in some big shows alongside Ding-Dong, Shelly Belly, Craigy Dred, Sample 6, Marvin, 2life and some of the UK's finest including Wacky JR.
You can find me on some of the biggest dvd's in the uk including dancehall in the city filmed and produced by Snagga Dagga himself (which are in the local shops on sale now), Freaky Fridays now Dutty Fridays uk and many more.
Being the confident, neat and creative dancer I am today I see dancing as a form of entertainment. With our role and duty as dancers to entertain the viewing public as well as bring a sense of joy, energy and enthusiasm to the dancehall scene. It does not matter who is better than whom, it is the viewing public who are the beneficiary and not we as individuals.
Looking back I see myself as a representative to all female dancers who take an interest into the male form of dancing achieving a great deal from life.
Not only being known for my dancing, I also have a talent in the hairdressing industry some of which are on display within my web page www.myspace.com/annieice100.
My main focus from here is, to begin a touring career repping the UK giving people the chance to get to know me as an individual.
I would like to firstly thank God for if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t be here today.
I was also like to thank my mum who has showed me support all day through my life in everything I have done.
