Erika grew up in the suburbs of San Francisco California into a very non-musical family. "The piano in the living room sounds great" her mom always says.
Truth be told, it hasn't been tuned since... she stopped taking lessons some 15 years ago.
From the time she was 7 years of age and demanding piano lessons until her graduation of the University of California, Davis with a degree in music composition and a focus in vocal performance, Erika has worked hard to prove that music is a dream is worth perusing.
Erika has been a member of the UCD chamber singers where she appeared in a UCD production of Henry Percell's opera Dido and Æneas. In addition, she has sung with the Sacramento Philharmonic chorus, preforming in Gustav Holtz 'The Planets', and a semi staged version of Rogers and Hammerstein's 'Carousel' In addition, Erika has been in several academic productions including Georges Bizet's 'Carmen', Igor Stravinsky's Les Nos, and Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana'.
Recently, Erika has taken a change in musical path, choosing to focus on her personal works-- a style that heavly centered in a folk-rock genera, however, her classical background shimmers through in her vocal melodies.
Currently she is working on a demo album which she hopes to complete in the next few months.
