About Me
..
I live my life on God's terms - not mine. IN the end, fireflies are the only light in paradise at night. Hopefuly his plan, after going home in 4/2008, to care for my parents, is to live in Montrose, Delta, Paonia, Ridgway, Telluride, CO, Mesquite, NV, or maybe in Montana w/ one of my chosen angelic moms. My real mother passed away 9/20/08, just 4 days shy of my birthday.
Everything is sold and we're going back home because the wind under my wings sails me that way. We should take care of our parents, if we are allowed to do so. All I can do is keep on trying:

Eat your veggies and fruits, they're better for you than fast food or fatty junk food.
Maybe that's why I look and feel so young.
Remain grateful for the Good Stuff and write down a thankful list in the morning before you start your day with prayer. The wolf is always at the door.

Hello and thank you for checking out my space. My name is Donna and I'm described as Brusk and Brutally Honest. I Walk the Walk like a rough tuff cream puff.

Was raised old school. Am quite often humbled, and give 125% at everything - better than my best and hit my knees every day. If I had the perfect job, it would to be a firefighter. I'm too old to do it now, so I put the F.D. in my daily prayers. My photography bus., (SPR) is based on 30+ yrs of being blessed at hunting in Yosemite when all could; hiking & picking arrowheads/spearheads in Bridgeport, CA and bathing in bathtubs indians shared 500 yrs. ago and catching fish at 30 degree out of twin lakes ---
I've skinny dipped at USC Idylwild's Grotto when there were only tents, near where the speed of light was determined. Was born in Wash. D.C. where my mom and dad sang below the Nat'l monument. Was raised in Hwy/Hallandale/ Hialleah, FL. We saw Gemini and Apollo from Cape Canavral. Earthquakes here in CA are no comparison to the ground shaking when the shuttle takes off. My sons & I have seen Columbia 100 ft off Palmdale Blvd. when she made a special pass on the 747 to thank those guys from Plant 42. I now I get to see shuttles land at Edwards. We got to touch Columbia's tiles and go inside her when she was at plant 42.
I moved to No. Hwd. at 19 to marry a race car engine builder & a B Gas Dragsters. Ironically, Paula Murphy (idol) is my 2nd mom today. In 1974, went on my own, met a fireman and fell in love w/ the trucks and worked 2 jobs. He moved to San Jose. So now we collect firetrucks.
These are our local guys:
In 1987, I married & divorced 9 yrs. later but am gratefully blessed w/ 2 awesome young men who are proud of me for singling it for 9 yrs w/ no support (mutual choice). I gratefully toughened up and learned to ask for help - throwing pride to the wind and wouldn't change the past at all.
I have played tennis w/ Chris Everett; had verbal go-rounds with Janice Dickenson; golfed and fished w/ my Dad; and built/re-built engines and driven the qtr. mile in many rods/cars; slolom snow skied in Telluride when there was only a children's ski school and rode in Ralph Lauren's Thing car w/ the foreman shortly after he bought the True Grit Ranch in 1985. Have water skiid w/ the friends at Buena Vista when very new and my young boys and still can today. We had a 90% arctic timber wolf we named Silver, who waited a week for us to get home during our last vacation together, after being poisoned to die in the boys' arms/lap.

The boys both rode in front of me in the saddle on my endurance Saddlebred/Pinto named Tashianna Royalle (Tasha), the trusted steed who carried me through two pregnancies and then on to carry either one so they got to sleep in my arms while I rode her. We do miss them, but know we'll see tham again. All those animals we so loved are waiting for us beyond the gates of heaven. **My 17 yr. old son & buddy, Sean (named after Sean Connery) left on 7/16/06 to live w/ his father in Savannah, TN. I just got to drive from FL to TN to share his graduation with the family. The boys were raised on all types of music and 'My Wish' song from R.Flatts is mine to him. My 21 yr. old son, Steven (named after Steve Perry/Steve Lucather/Steve Wariner) just graduated Wyotech in West Sacramento. He's now back home, on his own now and working hard. He got a ride on an AT-6 for his 21st B/D becuase true friends ROCK. How grateful is that? Beyond words, ay. He has an awesome fiance': Jena. She is unbelievable. So I have given God my boys b'cuz they really are (everything for that matter) are his. I have faith that's what I'm supposed to do. Used to make $25/hr as a legal sec., now I make whatever I can wrking/riding horses daily for many ranches. Now we're going back to work P-T to send money to my Dad and mom in FL.
The only true thing we can control in our lives is our choices, so today I choose to sit down, shutup and listen, whether that's to music, sharing of friends/family or others' hopes and dreams. I beleive we are given setbacks to take God's will and move us forward and we realize that it sometimes takes a little longer for God to deal the deck through his will, not ours.
Perception of what you see, and intent of where you will go with a spiritual feeling through your choice, is the key to my/your future. Whether your pushing 175+ mph. or WALKING an endurance horse, sweating/freezing & crying/laughing in a glider; or just praying - live that moment to the fullest and put those feelings to a favorite song. I say: "Don't complain or whine 'caus there's always someone worse off than you." "Solve your problems w/ prayer & walking through it with the strength of God." "Stay in your own hoola hoop" (which means: mind your own F*(&^%$ business). "If you can't suit up, saddle up and show up, than stay home." "Help someone else first, feed someone else first and get done what needs doin' today!" When your head hits the pillow at night, take your daily inventory, apologize for your wrongs and pray for the miracles to keep coming. If there's sand in your shoes - there's a reason for it.
Live in the moment as it/they pass way too fast! Try to remember, as you turn away or let go of a hand/fingers, that you will never have a chance to make a 1st impression again.
Now that we have a motorcycle license, maybe I can do this one day:
To relax, I play a little guitar, piano and sing, and playing the steering wheel works wonders for those impatient drivers stuck in traffic next to you. Make yourself a great day and happily plant a spirital seed when you can.
