The Band "Spider's Legacy" was born in February 1977 in Miami,Fl.Doug "Spider" Manley was a founding member of The Van-Dells a very popular 50's & 60's Showband that are still performing today over 30 years later! When Doug left the Van-dells he had the desire to have his own band and alas Spider's Legacy was born. The group was managed by Babe Bellagamba of Entertainment Plus out of Orlando,Fl. The founding members were Doug "Spider" Manley......vocals, Buddy "Lytnin" Vantreese.....vocals,Jay "Tink" Tinkel.....Vocals,Dave "dancing Bear" Dean,Tommy "Mouse" Herbert music arranger and Sax,Armando Morales,keyboards, Jeff 'Doc" Guitar and vocals,John"Nuke Newcomb bass and vocals and Ronnie,....Drums. Dave Dean was replaced by the late and great Joey "Thunder" Renna.Armando was replaced by the versatile and great keyboardist Bob 'Bobo" Kennedy and Jeff was replaced by the great Steve Barone. Ronnie was replaced by Steve who was replaced by Joe "Animal" Adcock and the first "working band" was set. We had other replacements through the years such as Butch Brake,Bobby Boyd, Michael Lamb,Clint Braswell,Les Sabler,Keith Kobe,Ronnie Jones,Ronnie Vitallo -and a host of other stand in muscians I can't remember their names. But...you know who you are. My main intention is to set up this site for Fans and ex-bandmates of Spider's Legacy to somehow reconnect by the power of the internet.
