Hello everyone and welcome to my music page for those of you who know me and have been ever so wonderful to rejoin me on this page let me take this opportunity to re-welcome you, thank you. For you and for my new friends I want to give you all some insight into what I have to offer. As you all know I am a Poetess/Author/Songwriter and yes have done some Artist Promotion in the past. I have been writing since I could hold one of those fat pencils in my hand (you know the one they gave you in preschool). I consider myself to be a born Poet more so then a learned Poet. What I mean is this even I have learned the basic concepts and formulas for a good poem to include the principles of writing Haikus etc. Well, I never knew how to stay inside the box I consider myself an undisciplined pen I allow my emotions to take over and purely guide me to where it is I need to be in my poetry and yes I do the same with my song lyrics. However I do recognize that the Producer has to shine as well so I am not unwelcome to form changes in order to make the lyrics fit the melody..As a result of this undisciplined pen I have failed in the technical eyes of many scholars however I succeeded in their hearts by touching that very part of them that they never knew existed. Also I am simple in the sense that my poetry is metaphorically defined yet it speaks to all who read it and allow themselves to become absorbed by it. What was once my own personal means of expressing my soul to the universe has now become a gift that I not only embrace but am willing to share with the rest of the world.The music lyrics well let say this, this to has always been something that I have done and have dreamed of doing my entire life. As a teenager I would write hip/hop lyrics and had once dreamed of becoming the baddist female rapper in the game, only there was one problem I would do my raps but they ended up coming out like R/B songs LOL I had even dreamed of being a bluesy style rocker like Janis Joplin or Stevie Knicks (I still love rock to this day luv it) Now the R/B thing wasn’t a bad thing either (because I didn't sound to bad singing them LOL) but not only did I find myself writing lyrics in those genres but all genres the bottom line, this is the language that I have spoken since birth.As a kid when others were dancing to the beat I was hearing the lyrics, reading the lyrics, but most of all embracing the lyrics, Stevie Wonder, was and has always been a favorite of mine he is like my Heaven on Earth I am dying to see him…(I know don’t you just love that line well its copyright protected its actually a part of a song that I wrote) and as you join me on this amazing journey you will come to not only hear me singing (my lyrics that is, I know brace yourselves LOL) but you will also have the chance to read through a few of them in the hopes that you will like them and maybe want to work together.Now that brings me to the reason why I am here as you tune into my page you will view it as you would any other music page on MySpace however the only difference you will hear from time to time is me singing perhaps an entire song, chorus, or just a hook. You may even hear me verbally expressing lyrics in the form of poetry be it acapella or instrumentally produced. What you will also find are songs from other Artist that may poetically express through their music lyrics by your girl Jacqueline E. Just know that everything that you hear and read on this page will be lyrically from none other then yours truly.
