I was born in Tiffin Ohio. Graduated from Heidelberg College, in Tiffin with a degree in business. Well attending Heidelberg I ran on the track team. I was a Decathlete and pole-vaulter. My senior year I had an internship at PromoWest Productions; they run the Newport Music Hall, LC and The Basement in Columbus, OH. I worked in the marketing department. This is where I fell in love with the Entertainment Business.
After college I moved to VA for about two years to play bass guitar for the touring rock band Red Metric. In that two years I started my own booking company AMP BOOKING(www.myspace.com/ampbooking). Since then I have booked 100’s of shows in the last 5 years all over the United States. I love the music businesses and I will not stop until I have reached my goal of playing and working in the music industry for a living.
Until I find my way in the music industry and make a living at it. I have been working for Barnes and Noble College Booksellers. I started at the College of William and Mary Bookstore in Williamsburg VA, in 2005 as a bookseller. While working there I soon became the head of HR. Now after leaving W&M in August 2007 I move on to DePaul University in Chicago as the Operations Manager.
After moving to Chicago in Sept. 2007. I started a new band A FRIEND CALLED FIRE (www.afriendcalledfire.net). Which I still play in today. Also I worked as National/Touring Artist Coordinator for Silvie's Lounge for the last year.
In the first part of Oct.2008, I left Silvie's Lounge and DePaul University Bookstore to join the team at the House Of Blues here in Chicago and get my masters in Entertainment Business. Currently I work in Marketing as an intern. Also I use my booking company (AMP Booking) to book showcases at the Elbo Room (www.elboroomchicago.com).
When I am not working I love to go out and see live shows and see new up and coming bands. I play a lot of guitar on my days off and write music. I love to go out with friends and have a good time. I like things fast pace but also love to get a way now and again. I love people that live their dreams and do not hold back. If you hate your job then do something about it, if you don’t like where you live then do something about it. Do something you love and be with someone you love.
