In todays society the words 'Christian band' seem to be pronounced in an eclectic manner with much reservation. In our present time, many things seem to be relative with no standard. Our world has become a revolving parasite that feeds off of material possessions as their life lines and the false comfort of knowing anything it does will be accepted. Even with the clouds of bands coming out of the woodwork in todays age, there are very few that recognize this sad truth while most others fail at making an adequate attempt to produce any type of message at all. Enter When Lines Fall Silent; a 3 piece combo (currently searching for a second guitarist) from Johnson City, TN who's unambiguous constant struggle and drive is to help pull our generation out of a lie, the lie that entities such as fame, wealth, and physical beauty are the keys to a successful life. The band very clearly sends the message that everything we do in this life is in vain if we do it to glorify ourselves, that unless we are constantly involved in a worshipful state of mind toward Jesus Christ we can never truly be fulfilled with happiness, and that a sole desire for tangible possessions will only leave an eternal emptiness within ourselves. The day will come when the sun will set on each of our lives and we will stand accountable before an almighty God. The car we drove, the clothes we had, and the size of our bank accounts will forever vanish, bringing light to the bands name as a single direct question: “When all of your lines fall silent, where will you stand?â€
Even though the east coast group is still very brand new, they are currently assembling an arsenal of crushing breakdowns and driving choruses along with the occasional light, airy song part through which they will convey their message. Down the road as you listen to each song the band releases you will find music with a mushroom cloud like intensity with lyrics that the band hopes can help you through the worst times of your life. Being led by the writing of guitarist Josh Black, When Lines Fall Silent hopes that the listener will be able to scream, sing, sweat, and dance along with their music while reaching into the innermost depths of their soul to find that there is something much bigger than themselves.
