Shae Parka was born in New York City.
He was raised and still lives in Brooklyn.
His interest in music was sparked by his musician father who was and still is very active in the music community.
Shae's passion for music, and his desire to expand his knowledge of it, continues to grow stronger each and every day.
He started his MC career with the label Urban Disc Records.
Hired as a promotional assistant he quickly became the supporting artist to the label’s main project: “I.Qâ€.
This evolved into a two-man show called “Native Styles†and the duo performed at venues throughout the city such as: B-Cat, Lenox Hill Lounge, and Lyricist Lounge, among others.
He kept his ear to the street and continued to participate in freestyle battles and competitions all around New York City.
Even though he is an accomplished musician, engineer and producer his focus is now on his skills as a lyricist and an MC.
Above all, it is important to him to remain true to the art form that he grew up on and fell in love with.
