MakeShift Monday @ Fusion

My Name Is E.K. HARKEN (or if you prefer Erin Kyle Harmon-Kenny) or a variety of nicknames such as the Governor, Cleveland, Slim, John the Baptist, and EK-1. But I will answer to almost anything.I enjoy long walks on the beach...oh, this is MySpace? Scratch that.(Although who doesn't enjoy a long stroll through the salty night air?)I am a Songwriter/Producer/Arranger/Guitarist/Keyboardist/Bassist/P rogrammer. for all who follow in my line of work I shall invent the acronym SPAGKBP (you try coming up with an acronym that long with only one vowel). Maybe I should take up the Ocarina. I have created this site for the amusement of the masses. Let me be clear.I host the Makeshift Monday open jam and talent night at Lindberg's, Springfield's oldest tavern. on the corner of Campbell and Commercial in Springfield , Mo. Monday night at Lindberg's are the perfect night for a talent showcase. We have already seen some up and coming musicians step on Lindberg's stage. In between the madness I perform original and cover material to calm the procedings. With the aid of a bartender know simply as "STEVE" we have carved out a nice little niche. The theme of the night is Makeshift, which translates into many odd requests for the house band ( myself and Chris Alsup on drums and which ever bass player shows up) and also for the Bartender. Steve is always up for the challenge of the unusual shot. There's just one catch...you may have to haggle for the price. We both work for tips though so we aim to please. That could be the theme of the night but Makeshift was the more alliterative (you should remember this word from English class).
