Shefali,the perfect example of devotion and dedication in the real sense.for her kathak is not just a form of art ,it is her upasana and tapasya. A charming and talented exponent of jaipur gharana,shefali started learning the finer nuances of abhinaya,taal,mudras at a very age of 9.under the able guidance of her guru Mrs. Nandini singh,she not only picked up the subtle intricacies of kathak but with sheer hardwork mastered them.at the age of 11,she gave her first solo performance at Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra for 20 minutes.she enthralled the audience throught india and art critics acclaimed her footwork,thaat and abhinaya.As the say,hard work always pays.in 1996,CCRT encouraged her further and awarded scholarship for the next 8 years..In 1997,she was selected by Nehru Bal Samiti to perform in an cultural exchange program held in Russia..After seeing her performance,a very renowned art crotic remark was-"she would go places and there will be praises all around".a graduate from sri venkateshwara college ,delhi and masters in electronics from Banasthali Vidyapith won amny inter college and state classical dance awards.she won second prize in all India Youth Festival held at Chennai and Hisar in 1998 and 2001 respectively...she was awarded Rajiv gndhi Yuva Puruskar in 1997...she has been giving many solo performances throuhout..
