Not too hard... My name is Joy, so I'd like to think that I embody the very meaning of my name. I love meeting people, chilling with those I know, and quiet time is easy because I don't mind being alone. The peaceful Sunday mornings of life should be considered a time to reflect and a time to plan for the future. Just because you are alone, does not mean you are lonely.
When I'm with others, the laughs are nonstop. The charismatic ones in my small circle know how we do. Anything in life is fair game for a snicker or harty har-har. Laughter is food for the soul.

I'm outspoken, patient, kind, trustworthy, and honest. However, don't take my sweetness for weakness. I may choose my battles, but the art of war is definitely my forte. Quick with the tongue is what my mother says about me. Cross that forgiving line and you're bound to take a thrashing. LOL Be cool... that's not too often. I take a lot in, hence the patience.
All in all... I'm easy going. Easy to talk to... Easy to be around.

I can be nodding my head to Wu-Tang, bopping to Kelly Clarkson, winding my hips to Beanie Man, moving from side to side with Guns & Roses, clutching my chest while belting Jill Scott or professing India's truth, nourishing my spirit with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Smokie Norful, joining the revolution with Dead Prez, chanting down Babylon with Robert Nesta, sitting in a smoke filled room being intoxicated by John Coltrane's sweet saxiphone and praying Nina Simone will tickle the ivories while moaning her heart's deepest woe...

My favorite movie of all time is The Wizard of Oz... followed closely by The Imitation of Life, Roots, Gone With The Wind, and Cleopatra Jones (Don't laugh... Cleo was a baaad girl. She fought for what was right and didn't have to compromise herself by showing her breasts in every clip. That's what being a strong Black Woman is all about).
