Bruno Travi

Bruno nació en la capital del Perú, y aunque es descendiente de europeos: italianos, alemán y checo, fue fuertemente atraído por la magia de la cautivante cultura andina, sobre todo por su música. Por ello desde temprana edad se interesó por los instrumentos étnicos, especialmente los de tipo aerófono. Sintiendo la necesidad profunda de llevar la música étnica-andina a un nivel más alto, y que pueda paso a paso ser un producto universalmente consumible (como ya sucede con otros géneros étnicos), estudio arreglos musicales, armonía funcional, música electrónica y se graduó como Técnico en Ingeniería de Sonido e Imagen. Posteriormente se hace merecedor por parte de La Salle, Universidad Ramón Llull, en Barcelona, España, de la única beca MAPSAD (Máster Profesional para Sonido y Audio Digital) otorgada a Latinoamérica. Como parte de su experiencia trabajó en productoras audiovisuales donde producía música para publicidad radial, televisiva y para documentales; entre otros. Participó musicalmente en el proyecto Kuntur Wasi (que fusionaba sonoridades étnicas-andinas con las contemporáneas como el funk, jazz, latin, entre otras), también realizo giras en Japón con la agrupación Kusillajta. Paralelamente participó por 7 años en la agrupación Gaitán Castro, llegando a ser ésta el icono musical más importante del Perú y con mayor proyección internacional. Posteriormente fue director y arreglista musical del cantante Diosdado Gaitán Castro, con quien realizo el disco “Del campo y la ciudad”. En las alas de la música recorre todo el Perú y parte del mundo: EEUU, Francia, Japón, España, Italia, Alemania, etc. Con ansías de llevar la música andina a otras esferas y niveles, decide radicar en España en el año 2004, en un tiempo en que este país es un punto de encuentro de diversas y contrastantes culturas; convivir y aprender de todas ellas se hace muy enriquecedor. Es el lugar y momento propicio para emprender nuevos proyectos. Además de tener a su cargo diversas producciones musicales, está preparando la producción “Leyenda Urbana” auspiciada por la Comunidad de Madrid, y en la que espera plasmar como arreglista, intérprete y productor, parte de sus expectativas musicales en este mundo de rápidos cambios. También es miembro activo del Movimiento de Unificación y de la Universal Peace Federation, en donde comparte la visión global y unificadora en todas las áreas.

Besides having their charge various musical productions, is preparing production "Urban Legend" sponsored by the community of Madrid and where pending translate as arranger, performer and producer, part of their musical expectations in this rapidly changing world. It is also active member of the Unification Movement and the Universal Peace Federation, which shares the global vision and unifying all areas.
