Hi I'm HarPandu or better known as Alastair Cross. Im a Dublin based guitarist and also a member of Jack of Speed , also Dublin based. This is my solo material which for one reason or another was not included in the band portfolio (though that may change someday..)
The aim here was to explore new avenues of influence and style that wouldn't necessarily translate over to a live performance, or even fit with the bands current sound/ambitions. Its pretty much exclusively instrumental at this stage as im not much of a singer, and prefer to focus on layered instrumental tracks instead of vocals.
Its also a long hard lesson in cubase/digital recording. Everything (so far) was recorded on a PC using a variety of software/hardware. Some songs took a few days, some a few hours, some have been on the go for what feels like forever!
Kudos goes to danbhala , who played drums on The Melting Spring, and for general drumming advice over many years..
