Wild Animal Puppets

Dave and Swinnce met at college many years ago. They began writing songs together instead of learning things and decided to form a band. After several line-ups came and went, the lads needed a drummer and turned to Kinkx, who had grown up barely half a mile apart from Swinnce in a Liverpool suburb. Kinkx had played the Liverpool scene for many years in several bands and even graced the stage at Glastonbury. They then met up with a keyboard player, Chris Bolton, and so in 1992, ’The Puppets’ were born. Initially, they started out life as ’The Prayer’. They played the Liverpool and North West music scenes, featuring regularly in The Cavern. Between 1993 and 1998, The Puppets recorded and produced six albums, several tracks of which were featured in a popular national music magazine. In April 2007, they played live together for the last time performing a selection of covers. The following year, The Puppets parted company with their keyboard player. Dave, Swinnce & Kinx however, carry on unabated. Having withdrawn from the gigging scene, the lads now dedicate their time to writing and recording. In November 2008, they returned from their annual pilgrimage to 'Orsedd Wen', a remote Welsh Cottage in North Wales (see below). As with the previous 5 years, 'Orsedd' was transformed from a pleasant country abode into a recording studio for a week. During that visit, the lads started work on their 7th album, 'Bed Soars In The Mourning', four tracks of which are now available to listen to (as above). The album will be finalised in November 2009 following their annual Welsh pilgrimage. Enjoy...if you can!
