I, a native Texan, moved to Austin in 2004 to seek a degree in Radio Television Film at The University of Texas at Austin. I quickly decided being a responsible student required more than just going to class. I became an active member in many UT organizations by his sophomore year and began two consecutive terms on the Executive Board of UT's largest organization: The Senate of College Councils, which is charged with representing students in academic affairs, by my junior year. When My two terms ended, I decided I finally had the time to tackle UT's least progressive community: Greek Life. With the help of six friends, I established UT's first fraternity for gay, bisexual, and progressive men. I am now Co-Founder of The Out & Educated Foundation, a scholarship based foundation aimed at helping in-need and homeless queer youth afford a college education and secure valuable internship opportunities in Texas.
