I've been playing guitar and piano for a long time. I took lessons for both, and learned some theory. I ended up learning most of what I know by ear. I discover and enjoyed blues music in high school through Eric Clapton's "From the Cradle", and akways loved the sound Jerry Portnoy's harmonica playing.
It wasn't until late last year that it occured to me that I should learn to play the harp. I started listening to more blues in order to get better and that's when I went from enjoying blues music to being absolutely in love with it.
I have a lot to learn on all three instruments....but what matters the most, a deep love of the blues, is already there.
