About Me

After playing out in bars in clubs for a number of years, it was time to move on with life. Now, with the affordability of home recording, I have gotten into writing music on the computer. I still have a so much to learn, but thought it would be fun to post some demos of my first attempts at home recording.

My Interests

Music:

Influences:

Genesis, Pink Floyd, Camel, Steve Hackett, Marillion, Echolyn, Kansas, Yes, Porcupine Tree, Happy The Man, Spock's Beard and so many others. This is the music I listen to most.

As a guitarist, I started playing guitar because of Ace Frehley - KISS. They were a big part of my getting started. Then came The Beatles, Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Jimmy Page for his writing and the power of the music, and I just loved Ritchie Blackmore's playing. And of course, The Beatles are just great songwriters. Then I got into progressive, David Gilmour (Floyd), Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Andy Latimer (Camel) are probably my favorite players.

My interest in writing my own music has always been there, and I have spent many hours with my old 4-Track. I have played guitar for many years, so now the challenge is to bang out some keyboard tracks and program my drum machine (quite poorly). But honestly, I get a lot of enjoyment from trying to create music. Hopefully, some of you will enjoy listening to it!

Sounds Like: I would not want to offend anyone by saying I sound like them :) You tell me who/if I sound like someone
