Born July 25, and aligned with the Sun, my journey takes me along a path which I must walk upon as a griot, someone that shares knowledge with others.
Like everyone in this world, I have a story to tell and voice that needs to be heard and a testimony to share...
For starters, I love the color blue; I read more than I watch TV; the open highway or the woods especially near water, is my quick getaway; I stopped eating meat except fish, I drink mostly water; I grew up on the Appalachian and Allegheny mountains with Lake Erie below and a view of Toronto, Canada to the north; I love Afrikan Culture and Riddims! What you wear won't help you stand out, how you wear it, is what gives you style! I don't like to be put in a box;
I am a Sistah that you can sit down and "chop it up" with; Reggae is my passion...Cheik Diop is my hero; a smile from a child or a lick from a dog makes my day; politics is bad; sex is great, especially on the bottom! I like strawberry and chocolate; "Know Thyself" is my mantra, I miss Lucky Dube; I can be a Pan-Afrikan at heart; oh did I mention that I Love Afrikan Culture and Riddims? My favorite.
There is a Ghanian proverbs that says, "When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion." This is how I can express my intentions with creating this myspace page. It is my way of showing how a people can overcome outside forces.
May the Ancestors guide me to present our story to people through culture and riddims with this cyberspace forum so as a people can seize the opportunity in which we can learn and heal, to forgive and move forward, to create and build a nation!
