The New Giants

Shine On

About Me

Hailing from east London ‘The New Giants’ have been playing a brand of Americana, long before anyone had ever heard of the term. Drawing comparisons to everyone from Crazy Horse to Teenage Fanclub, the Giants have developed their own brand of rock, drawing together influences such as Neil Young, The Who and Tom Petty, with sun drenched melodies and chords that make you want to hit the road and head for the coast. The Giants have been together for many years now and have somehow kept going through the arrival of many kids, various solo projects, and recording and touring with other bands. The one thing that has kept the band together all these years is the love of playing good time, guitar based rock. In 2007 to capture some inspired songwriting the band recorded ‘Shine On’, and have since been playing a few local gigs, where a wide range of influences continue to permeate their live performances. The bands main aim is simply to continue writing great songs and enjoy playing live music together.
