Pastor Jason R. Corbett is the only son of Deacon and Mrs. Richard Corbett, and the grandson of the beloved Mother Evangeline L. Corbett in whom he credits his spiritual appetite and prayer life to. Reared in the church, Pastor Jason was saved at nine under the leadership of Dr. Albert L Brown of First Baptist Church, Bay Shore NY. He started preaching at 13, received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at 14, and was the youngest person licensed at his former Baptist church at 15 years old without an initial sermon. It was under the tutelage of his father in the ministry, Dr. Brown that a love for preaching the Full Gospel was imparted. After serving his childhood church faithfully he was blessed and released at nineteen to start Spirit and Life Full Gospel Ministries, a pastoral work in which Jason was called to late July 2004.
Few weeks later he was released to the apostolic covering of Apostle Joan M. Hicks, prelate of Greater Works Apostolic Ministries, Central Islip, New York in which other ministries and churches receive proper apostolic oversight . He was formally ordained and installed into the pastorate January 2005. He not only serves as senior pastor of Spirit and Life Full Gospel Ministries, Bay Shore NY but as the assistant to His prelate, Apostle Joan M. Hicks.
Pastor Jason lives to be an example of godly character and integrity. You will often hear him say, “God wants clean hands and a pure heart.†It’s the heart of this young apostolic voice to see God’s people blessed by the power of the spoken word of God.
