About Me
The most exciting summer was in 2007 when my husband and I produced my solo show, "My Mother's Yard". My husband, Rich Brunner, also wrote it for me and it was quite a gift to work so closely with him on such a personal subject. We brought on Jan O'Connor to direct, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life! It was like shaking off all the old stuff from my past and breathing in a new powerful attitude about myself and my career. In February 2008 I followed a dream of performing Shakespeare and took a five-week Shakespeare Intensive with the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. It's a wonderful program with amazing instructors like Armin Shimerman, Brendon Fox, Melora Marshall, and Susan Angelo. I studied Rhetoric, Text Analysis, Scansion, Alexander, Voice & Speech, Movement & Fencing. Furthering my study, in May I started a Shakespeare Scene Study with Susan Angelo! Before moving to Los Angeles I spent time in Chicago where I earned my SAG card doing commercials and independent films. While there I studied acting with Jane Brody, four years studying Meisner with Dan LaMorte at Center Theater, and a one year intensive program with Steven Ivcich.I'd always wanted to knit so I taught myself from a book, while backstage at a show. I won't win any prizes, but I love giving scarves and hats as gifts. My husband and I found two wonderful dogs in our neighborhood, who have definitely become members of the family!
