Tynke is an amiable looking girl with reasonably long, straight
hair (this can change any moment though ). She is most
commonly found at home listening to psychedelic R&B or
folk, making music, drinking tea and smoking sigarettes... Well, actually she quit, but once addicted...
Often, she wanders the streets of Apeldoorn, Brussels or
Akkrum, sits in a pub whittling away the hours of the day
when she really should be doing something more constructive.
She is a singer and songwriter... and tries to play the piano
and guitar.
Tynke first performed her own songs at the age of five for the
chickens in her parents backyard. Her singing was acknowledged
with such an overwhelming appreciation that Tynke soon decided:
"I'm gonna be a professional singer!" What followed were
guitarlessons, many choirs, rough bands, gay bands and
musicaltheater.
One day when she sat at the piano she remembered she loved to
write her own songs, and so she did... about life, lingering, birds,
bees and the like. In all these years she wrote numerous songs, some
are quite good, but most of them are as poorly as can be. A few
where already performed on stage with a band, but this year
Tynke felt the need to collect the ones she thinks are any good
and make them ready for the stage.
