Aria Vocal Coaching takes an honest and modern look at contemporary singing; the truth is, a large portion of vocalists out there are employing techniques that many trained teachers would call 'dangerous'.
If you would like help freeing up, strengthening, opening or even altering your voice at little (or no) expense, please drop us a message.
We offer online vocal lessons for free and local private sessions at a very reasonable price, depending upon factors such as travel expenses, location and the nature of the commitment. I am based in Hessle, close to Hull, East Yorkshire.
Feel free to inquire about teaching methods, past experience or even just general knowledge or resources used.
I will also answer any specific questions about the voice to the best of my ability over MySpace, so get in touch.

Lucinda Livingstone (Luby Romantic) played bass and backing vocals in one of my old bands although she had always really wanted to do lead vocals. She lacked confidence in her own voice and it showed; she couldn't really sing at a good volume or with any real power or strength and the sound had quite a strong nasal twang on it. Not that this is a bad thing, but she wanted to develop her power and take off some of the twang to create a stronger, more round tone. She now sings for pop punk band 'This City Sleeps' with confidence, boasting a wide range and a rich vocal sound while still keeping the unique, natural feel she had when she begun. You can find her at myspace.com/thiscitysleepsuk. The band are doing very well for themselves and gaining popularity at a startling rate.
Daniel Burns has a strong and emotive voice with a natural wide vibrato and a warm baritone sound. He has been learning with Aria for a couple of months and had never looked into singing before. 'Creep' by Radiohead was a song of his choice; we spent a lot of time with just him and an acoustic guitar, working on intonation and pitching as well as strength and clarity of tone. I would perhaps describe his voice as having similarities to Jimi Hendrix (at least when he sings the blues) as well as having a thicker, more operatic quality to it at times.
Rosie Dent-Brown could already sing when I started jamming with her; however, she thought she only sounded good when she sang at the bottom of her range. She now vocalizes throughout her entire range with power and confidence with a rich, soaring tone and moreover, she understands in greater depth exactly how she does it. Her voice has a very distinctive sound and she makes use of 'creak' onsets in a lot of her vocal passages.
