Four people, all coming from different areas and musical scenes, met in Torino in the spring '02 starting the project that will become the “Rebels of the Neon God“(see Tsai Ming-Liang, 1992).
The band pushing out bloody noises with long and fruitful jam sessions, which contribute to the exclusion of some piece of music instead of others. Among the first, three songs were chosen and were be recorded in April 2003 at One Voice Recordings, Daniele Giordana’s recording studio. Together with the mixing and re-mixing of the self-titled E.P. (which was done at home with the help of a common PC), the Rebels of the Neon God are also present in some live events together with other local bands. It lasted long than it was expected, but has strongly characterized the style and attitude of the Rebels of the Neon God carrying on a double binary the composition of tracks and letting the electronic influences emerging through the programs that are found in the band's computer hard disk.
In the Autumn 2003 Lukio (high strings) and in the next months Lelio (bass strings), left the project. The first one to hold better his emo-side-project (For Mistake) and the second one because of serious personal troubles.
Time of sad days came, always looking for someone else which could keep back in the project the lost sounds. In the next season the worried research get reap the benefits: two others guys – Marcio and Robio – starting from their half-project, decide to melt their musical entities with the other two. After a long time on stalemate and spent in preparations, since the middle of the 2004 R.o.t.N.G. breaths again. The non-finished and the new more free interactions between each others became a cool yard of playing, but even in the same time impose itself a travel towards directions as suicidal as cathartic.
Therefore every single piece turns out characteristic, but not at all sound characterizing and does not prejudice any kind of musical influences.
