About Me

Lil' Raggamuffin Summer Camp was founded in the summer of 2002 by Born As A Raggamuffin, LLC. We are a charity summer camp dedicated to educating and uplifting the youth of the Jamaica.

WHERE: Raggamuffin Summer Camp is located high up in the hills of one of the Caribbean’s steepest mountain districts, in a small coffee farming community called Settlement. A lush landscape rich with fruit trees, rushing rivers and foliage of all kinds. Approximately 30 minutes drive to Kingston, Jamaica. You will have the opportunity to experience and enjoy both the laid back vibe of the hills and the bustling energy of the city.

WHY: Lil' Raggamuffin Summer Camp is founded on the strong beliefs that:1. Education does not end when summer begins.2. Constructive & educational summer activities are a vital part of the educational process and should be available for all regardless of income.3. Exposure to different cultures, ideas and activities help children develop the confidence and abilities needed to envision a future beyond their present circumstances. A future where anything is possible!WHAT: The camp theme for 2008 is “GLOBAL AWARENESS”. For 6 days we will help the children explore different cultures and ideas through, sports, music, arts, theater, dance and much, much more. We will also place a strong emphasis on conservation, recycling and community service.
