Wavelength

Wavelength band offers a smorgasbord of musical styles and textures for jazz and music enthusiasts to enjoy. Their sound is the product of the diverse cultural and musical background that each core member brings to the group. Add to that exciting mix the extensive experiences of the contributing artists and you have music that is uniquely Wavelength's.From the Latin roots of some members, to Rock, Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Soul, Wavelength is a refreshing and dynamic fusion of these sounds. Wavelength is led by Ferdinand Magallanes (keyboards, composer, producer, vocals). This group consists of seasoned musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area, and reflects the sounds and feel of the area's musical landscape. Their unique sound will take you on a journey that you will not want to end. Members/Contributors are: Jason Stewart/Ron Smith/Oscar Estrella - guitars, Al Killingsworth/Jeff Cox/Paul Samson/Marcus Lopez - bass, Bobby Gaviola - drums, Michael Galisatus - trumpet/flugelhorn, Bobby Rawlings/Alex Murzyn, Steve Feireabend - sax, Terry Russell/Derek James - trombone, John Duarte/Victor Nolasco/Carlos Caro - percussions, Joy de Leon/Jim Starr/Lianni Castro/Remo Goods - vocals.Wavelength members have recorded/performed/shared the stage with artists such as Patti Labelle, Pete Escovedo, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Malo, Sapo, and many others.Wavelength released their CDs titled "Cruzin the Music Highway" and "Masarap (delicious) - check out the Sound Bytes page on our website (http://wavelength.fmcompserve.com) for some downloadable MP3 file snippets that are included in the CDs as well as links to Internet music sites that stream tracks from the CD. We are currently working on a 3rd CD slated for release in 2009.
