With their new self-released debut cd, called ‘Perception is Everything’, Grey like Masquerade has not only ushered in a new chapter, but a whole new novel, consistent with their newly discovered passion for the experimental side of music.
Starting out as an emo screamo rockband, named Billy got Spanked, this five piece collective has left themselves unfulfilled in relation to what they wanted to achieve. Stating: ‘we’ve evolved so much during this past year as individuals, as muscicians and as a band, that we felt the time has come to take our music to the next level’, clearly prooves that Grey like Masquerade is bursting with ambition.
Altough starting over with a blank canvas, they managed to write a record of wich they say it exceeds their wildest expectations. The album consists of 8 high quality tracks and is best described as experimental rock infused with spherical guitar riffs and vocals, to draw you into the music. If you want to decide for yourself, just buy the album, you won’t regret it.
All of this brings us to the conclusion that Grey like Masquerade is one hell of a band to look out for. These guys are more than ready to sturr things up. And in spite of what their album title says, Grey like Masquerade is a lot more than meets the eye!
