About Me

Hello! I am a playwright, screenwriter and sketch writer. I studied Drama at Exeter University before going on to work as a researcher in factual film, then I was commissioned to write a feature script for award winning indie, Stone City Films (Producers of Casualty 1909).My first short film “King Jeff” (Jeremy Swift, Ben Crompton Kulvinder Ghir, Amara Karan) was awarded Wandsworth Borough / British Council funding and won the I Blink Screenwriting Prize. King Jeff has been screened at numerous festivals including Westminster and Super Shorts in the UK and was the winner of the Sunnyside Film Festival New York.I have written for various BBC radio sketch shows including “Tilt”, “Play and Record” (BBC Radio 7) “One” and “Broken Arts” (David Quantick, BBC Radio 4) and I was also recently short listed for the BBC College of Comedy 2009 and was a finalist in Industry showcase The Sitcom Trials 2009 at the Leicester Square Theatre with my Sitcom "The House on Cedar Street" which was then pitched to BBC Radio 4.My sketch material with the award winning double act Teak Show has been performed at the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Final, The Guardian Literary Festival the Leicester Comedy Festival (Best newcomer nominee) and the Edinburgh Festival 2009 at the Gilded Balloon. Reviewers have described the show as ‘Talented, versatile, and slightly insane - Four Stars,’ (Three Weeks) and “Recommended,” (Time Out)My last play, Quitters, was performed at the Pacific Playhouse (Grit Productions, winner of the Stage One New Producers Award) the Theatre Museum in London and the Citylit Theatre, Chicago. I have also had plays performed at the Pomegranate Theatre, Derby, The Blue Elephant and Jackson’s Lane Theatres, the Arundel Festival, and the Phoenix Theatre Exeter and my latest play, “The Game” will be part of the Off Cut Festival at the Red Lion in Islington this Autumn. I have just had a sketch commissioned by BBC Comedy Extra which I co wrote with comedy writers Blakewill and Harris (Director Matt Holt "X Husband" starring Peter Dickson and Jane Lucas see below)I am currently developing a range of new projects across radio, film and television.
