Hello and welcome. Larsen Music is a select network of talented, versatile and accomplished professional musicians managed by me, Anne-Lise Larsen. I dedicate myself to providing live elegant solo cello music and quality music ensembles for your wedding, corporate or social event.
My background is that of a classically trained cellist (cello player) who graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. I have freelanced as an orchestral player with various Australian professional orchestras, and a number of smaller string groups, including The Salieri String Quartet, my own ensemble. The Salieri String Quartet had lots of fun and we played on Japanese television commercials, educational material cds, movie premieres and the full gamut of weddings from a romantic elopement to large extravaganzas!
One of my more interesting solo cello performances was that of "The Cellist" with the Townsville Theatre Company production of "The Elephant Man". I sat on stage throughout the performance, and played poignant cello music in between acts and soliloquies of the "I am not an animal" kind.
In the late 1990s, I moved to Sydney, and concentrated on a singer/songwriter career. Over the past ten years, I have settled nicely into an established and respected independent artist on the Sydney music scene.
With over twenty years in the music industry as a singer, cellist and singer/songwriter I now specialise in solo cello performances, playing beautiful music for your beautiful occasion. Because of its warmth, depth and range of tones, the cello is an ideal solo instrument for intimate gatherings, and the perfect musical accompaniment to your most special of days.
Other musical ensembles Larsen Music presents range from string trio and quartet through to jazz vocals and keyboard accompaniment.
You will deal directly with me, and I aim to make the music organisation part of your event planning as smooth as possible. Please feel comfortable to ask any question with regards to the music for your event.
