About Me

theAbsurd are Andy Garside & Sophie McKeand, we run www.theabsurd.co.uk an alternative culture magazine for North Wales. On the site we publish recordings and artwork as well as written ideas and we aim for theabsurd.co.uk to be a point of cultural information for the local community. In addition to this our monthly spoken word and music events at Y Pentan cafe bar in Mold, North Wales aim to provide a creative space for artists to perform and for the community to experience some truly amazing talent. We also have open floor slots available throughout each gig as we want to encourage all to come and share their work as well as be inspired by the acts we book.
