Well it all started when Chris Rivera and Steven Pierce heard that Abe Watson and his brother Aaron jammed out in their basement, which filled the spots needed to be filled to make a complete line up for a new band. After a few weeks of practice the band had already written two songs and were covering the Slayer song Die By The Sword to play in there high school talent show. Although they lost the talent show, Under the name Ataxia, the band definitly ripped the throats out of the hip hop, pop rock friendly audience of there school cafeteria. Soon afterwards drummer Aaron Watson parted ways with the band.
Not being slowed by lack of drums the band continued to write and practice songs. Nick Robertson was then found and hired as the new drummer. After a few shows, Steven moved to Arkansas and the band hired on Brett Grady to take over rhythm guitar duties while Abe played bass until Steven returned.
The first album Ataxia was finally completed at the start of 2008. Following a uncanny amount of demos, live recording, and just general b.s. With Ataxia completed, Steven redeparted to Arkansas. Brett is now attending CWU and is very active in the U.S. Marines as well. Thus marking the end of Chromatic Death.
