About Me

About me:I'm a singer/songwriter that studied classically at the NC School of the Arts and started recording since I moved to NYC April of 1995. I have some earlier tracks that I may post up soon for fun. Music to me is an expression... a way to relate to others that some may be able to relate or identify. It's not so much about having the greatest technique or voice but rather to be able to somehow capture a feeling or phrase it in a way that will make someone "get it" in however way they wish to perceive it. That's what motivates me....the expression and the freedom. The few tracks I have are just a few of the styles that I enjoy to sing. My classical background gave me a love and passion for early Italian art songs...Songs with lyrics written by William Shakespeare as well and a variety of other early works by some great composers.I've had the opportunity to work with some very talented people along the way that have careers in the music industry such as Tony Moran and Warren Rigg several years ago. I've recorded with them and being produced by each was a great experience. One of my songs "Suddenly You" was featured on a movie soundtrack "Circuit" in 2002.Currently, I'm working on my own music and going back to my roots as an artist. Working on my style and mixing past early works with a modern sound in the studio. Like so many other artists, I enjoy the most, sitting at the piano and playing what comes to me....for me it's the greatest and most fun.I'll be adding more music soon which will be showing my latest and most current.
