"I'm just dubbing samples of life day by day." is how Rhoderic "Dj Malachi" Nicoleau explains his journey of reason, rythm, and ryhme in life itself. Born on May 17th, 1987 in Providence Rhode Island, one of six, the son of haitian immigrants deeply rooted in Christian faith Mal' says "I wouldn't of had it any other way." The name Malachi is from the Bible. It means 'my messanger' and it's also the last book in the old testament, Malachi has his own definition. "I dont want to sound spiritual or like a saint 'cause that's def not the case, but being that it's the last book in the old testament it means putting an end to the old and bringing in the new. That's my message."
His father now a Dr. & Rev. briefs on the upbringing of the young talent. "He was an extremely talented boy. Very smart but very mischevious at the same time. He never did good in school, I always had a teacher calling or having to pick him for a suspension but when it came to any kind of expression whether musically or artistically he outshined just about everyone in his category. I always wanted him to be a scholar of the highest degree because he was very capable and we weren't financially ideal to say the least. All in all to see that we have come so far as a family I'm more than proud to see him take the gifts that God has blessed him with and carry on the legacy of our people. I support him in his success."
By age 5 Dj Malachi was playing the piano, at 7 the drums, by 15 the guitar and bass guitar as well as Djing became a passion and a tool that would shape his empire and defined style of production. At 16 he started his now concrete F.L.M.G or Flow Line Music Group Llc. "I started this with dreams of it being big over night. But those are things a naieve teen doesn't understand takes hard work to make real." After 2 yrs of highschool house party legends conducted by yours truly, and Flow Line mixtapes on sale at the top of every semester it seems there was no way Malachi couldn't end up in this posistion of awaited greatness.
Running his own company and spearheading through this industry this Dj is turning more than records, he's turning heads. Capturing the ears of many through music Mal' is planning on capturing hearts as well as minds. "I don't want to be a profit or a mesiah. I just want to put a mark in time to say I did major things and helped alot of people along the way." As a 22 year old C.E.O and a forward footprint in this industry there's no telling how big of an impact Malachi will have upon the music world itself. "To me my work is more than music, it's a brand. I know I'm no where near the end of building my empire but for now I'm just taking the rail road of life one track at a time." -Words Angela Graham
